KNEE PAIN & OSTEOARTHRITIS

Knee Pain & Osteoarthritis Care

Knee pain is one of the most common orthopedic concerns and may result from osteoarthritis, cartilage wear, ligament injury, meniscus damage, or overuse. Symptoms can range from intermittent discomfort to persistent pain that interferes with walking, exercise, or daily activities.

At Hero Medical Center, we evaluate knee pain carefully to determine whether regenerative or supportive therapies may be appropriate based on the severity of joint changes and overall health.

Symptoms vary widely, and not all knee pain is caused by arthritis alone.

Why Proper Evaluation Matters

Knee pain can originate from multiple structures within the joint. Imaging and clinical evaluation help determine whether regenerative options may be considered—or whether alternative care is more appropriate.

Therapies That May Be Considered

Depending on evaluation, treatment discussions may include:

✦ Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

✦ Stem Cell Therapy (select cases)

✦ Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

✦ Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) as supportive care

Who May Be a Candidate

Patients with mild to moderate joint degeneration, localized cartilage issues, or chronic knee discomfort may be candidates. Advanced joint collapse or severe deformity may require surgical consultation.

Compliance Policy:

Regenerative therapies are not appropriate for all conditions or all patients. A comprehensive medical evaluation is required to determine candidacy. Individual results vary. Some regenerative therapies discussed may not be FDA-approved but are permitted by the State of Florida when provided by a licensed physician in compliance with applicable regulations.
