What Is Stem Cell Therapy?

Stem Cell Therapy at Hero Medical Center is offered as part of a physician-led regenerative orthopedic care program designed to help appropriate patients explore non-surgical options for joint pain, orthopedic injuries, and degenerative conditions.

Our approach emphasizes medical evaluation, patient education, and individualized treatment planning. Stem cell therapy is not appropriate for every condition or every patient, which is why candidacy is determined only after a comprehensive consultation.

Stem cell therapy involves the use of a patient’s own biological material to support the body’s natural repair and regenerative processes. In orthopedic applications, stem cell–based therapies may be used to help support joint function, tissue health, and mobility in select cases.

At Hero Medical Center, stem cell therapy is utilized responsibly and conservatively, within established medical guidelines and based on individual clinical findings.

How Stem Cell Therapy Is Used at Hero Medical Center

Stem cell therapy is considered only after a thorough medical evaluation that may include:

✦ Review of imaging studies (X-ray, MRI when available)
✦ Assessment of medical history and prior treatments
✦ Discussion of functional goals and expectations
✦ Determination of whether regenerative therapy may be appropriate

If stem cell therapy is not recommended, alternative options are discussed openly.

Conditions Where Stem Cell Therapy May Be Considered

Depending on individual evaluation, stem cell therapy may be discussed for patients with:

✦ Knee, hip, or shoulder joint degeneration
✦ Osteoarthritis (mild to moderate cases)
✦ Cartilage or soft-tissue injury
✦ Ligament or tendon damage

✦ Chronic orthopedic pain that has not responded to conservative care

Advanced joint collapse or conditions requiring immediate surgical intervention may not be appropriate for regenerative therapy.

Who May Be a Candidate?

Stem cell therapy may be appropriate for patients who:

✦ Have persistent orthopedic symptoms
✦ Wish to explore non-surgical treatment options
✦ Are medically stable and able to undergo evaluation
✦ Understand that outcomes vary and are not guaranteed

A consultation is required to determine candidacy.

Our Philosophy on Stem Cell Therapy

At Hero Medical Center, stem cell therapy is:

• Physician-directed, not protocol-driven

• Evidence-informed, not trend-based

• Individualized, not standardized

• Supportive, not guaranteed

We believe responsible regenerative care begins with education, screening, and realistic expectations.
