What Is PEMF Therapy?

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) is a non-invasive supportive therapy used to help promote cellular activity, circulation, and tissue recovery. At Hero Medical Center, PEMF is used as a complementary modality within an individualized orthopedic care plan—never as a standalone cure or replacement for medical evaluation.

Our is physician-directed and focused on helping patients understand whether PEMF may be appropriate based on their condition, goals, and overall care plan.

PEMF therapy delivers low-frequency electromagnetic pulses to targeted areas of the body. These pulses are designed to support normal cellular signaling and may help encourage physiologic processes involved in tissue recovery.

PEMF is non-invasive, does not involve injections, and is typically well-tolerated.

How PEMF Is Used at Hero Medical Center

At Hero Medical Center, PEMF therapy is used strategically and conservatively as part of a broader orthopedic or regenerative treatment plan.

PEMF may be considered to:

• Support circulation and tissue recovery

• Assist with post-procedure comfort

• Complement other non-surgical therapies

• Encourage overall joint and soft-tissue health

PEMF is not positioned as a treatment for systemic, neurological, or mental health conditions.

Conditions Where PEMF May Be Considered

Depending on individual evaluation, PEMF therapy may be incorporated for patients experiencing:

✦ Joint stiffness or discomfort
✦ Musculoskeletal strain or overuse injuries
✦ Soft-tissue irritation
✦ Post-procedural recovery support

✦ General orthopedic wear-and-tear

Use of PEMF is determined on a case-by-case basis and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

Who May Be a Good Candidate?

PEMF therapy may be appropriate for patients who:

✦ Are undergoing orthopedic or regenerative care
✦ Prefer non-invasive supportive options
✦ Are seeking adjunctive therapies to complement treatment
✦ Have been medically evaluated by our team

PEMF may not be appropriate for every patient or condition. A consultation is required to determine suitability.

What to Expect

✦ Sessions are non-invasive and typically comfortable
✦ Treatment duration and frequency vary by individual
✦ PEMF may be used alone as supportive care or alongside other therapies
✦ Response varies depending on condition, overall health, and treatment plan

Our team will review expectations and answer questions during consultation.

Our Philosophy on PEMF Therapy

At Hero Medical Center, PEMF therapy is:

Supportive, not curative
Adjunctive, not primary treatment
Individualized, not standardized

We prioritize education, realistic expectations, and medical appropriateness over trends or generalized claims.

Next Steps?

If you are exploring non-invasive options to support joint health or recovery, PEMF therapy may be discussed as part of your overall care plan.

Compliance Note: Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy is a supportive modality and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. Individual results vary. A medical evaluation is required to determine whether PEMF therapy may be appropriate. PEMF is not a substitute for medical care.

Compliance Policy:

Regenerative therapies are not appropriate for all conditions or all patients. A comprehensive medical evaluation is required to determine candidacy. Individual results vary. Some regenerative therapies discussed may not be FDA-approved but are permitted by the State of Florida when provided by a licensed physician in compliance with applicable regulations.
